US-Israeli Strike Targets Iranian Petrochemical Facility

(MENAFN) A joint American-Israeli strike reportedly hit an industrial methanol production site at Dayyer port in Iran’s Bushehr province on Friday evening, as stated by a news agency on Saturday.

According to the agency, two missiles impacted the dock area of the Kaveh Petrochemical methanol plant located in Dayyer, resulting in damage to the control room situated on the pier.

Preliminary information suggested that the methanol manufacturing installations themselves were not affected, and the primary sections of the facility continued functioning normally without interruption.

The report further noted that no injuries or fatalities occurred as a consequence of the strike.

The United States and Israel have continued conducting aerial bombardments on Iran since Feb. 28, with the death toll exceeding 1,340 individuals, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In response, Iran has launched retaliatory drone and missile operations aimed at Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting American military bases. These counterattacks have resulted in casualties, infrastructural damage, and disruptions to international markets and air travel.
